Have you ever wondered where things are made? Our movement lesson focused on where common household items are made. Movement is the travel of people, goods, and ideas from one location to another. In this assignment students will come up with several brand names (TV, car, refrigerator) and what the "made in" label says. We will place these on a map tomorrow and then analyze the evidence. Afterwards the students plotted their points (to the left) we can see which countries are the leaders in manufacturing. China was the leader in manufacturing electronics and toys. The US was the leader in cars owned in the classroom. Other countries marked on the map include South Korea, Mexico, Taiwan, Brazil, Australia, India, Bangladesh, Nicaragua, England, France, Italy, Germany, Singapore and Indonesia.
