Science Side-Note

9/23/2016

The students in 222 helped to make a density tower.  Density is the amount of matter in a given space.  In the case of liquids, the more dense the liquid makes it "heavier."  Corn syrup, honey and dish soap are heavier than water (blue) therefore they will stack underneath.  Vegetable oil and rubbing alcohol are "lighter than water so they will float on top.  Can you find the solid objects floating inside?
